The developers set to transform the decommissioned Edison power plant in South Boston have scaled back their original plans for the 15-acre site, reducing the total number of housing units and the height of several proposed buildings, according to a new filing with the Boston Planning and Development Agency.

Hilco Redevelopment Partners and Redgate Capital Partners have proposed reducing the overall L Street Power Plant project size to 1.93 million square feet from 2.1 million square feet. The mixed-use project would be built out over a 15-year period.
