Chang Zhang joined HRP in 2021 as a Director of Mixed-Use Development where he is primarily focused on the L Street Station redevelopment project in South Boston, Massachusetts. Chang’s responsibilities span a range of development activities including product design management, approvals and permitting, project budgeting and forecasting, joint venture reporting, and branding and marketing.
At L Street Station, Chang is managing the adaptive reuse of four historic turbine halls on the site and their transformation into retail, cultural/civic and commercial space.
Prior to joining HRP, Chang served as an Assistant Vice President at GID Investment Advisors, a real estate investment/operating company with more than $20 billion in assets under management. During his five years at GID, Chang closed $1.3B in stabilized acquisitions and development joint ventures in the multifamily sector, representing approximately 5,000 residential units. Chang was responsible for bringing deals from underwriting through investment committee. Chang holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University. He is an active member of NAIOP, ULI, and REFA.
